Coquitlam aquatic complex to close for annual maintenance
City Centre Aquatic Complex will close Sept. 1 for annual maintenance and deep cleaning. Its fitness centre reopens Sept. 9, while the pool and café are scheduled to reopen Oct. 5.

Coquitlam’s City Centre Aquatic Complex will close Sept. 1 for annual maintenance and deep cleaning of its pool, fitness centre and café.
The fitness centre is scheduled to reopen Sept. 9. The pool and café are expected to reopen Oct. 5. Between Sept. 9 and Oct. 4, the fitness centre will operate Monday to Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 5:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The front desk closes 30 minutes before the fitness centre, and no admissions will be permitted afterward.
The city says the closure will allow work that cannot be completed while the facility is open, helping maintain safety, reduce equipment failures and extend the life of the facility.
Poirier Sport & Leisure Complex, at 633 Poirier St., will remain open daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., excluding holidays. Outdoor swimming remains available at Mundy Park Pool until Oct. 5 and Eagle Ridge Pool until Sept. 7. Schedules and facility details are available at coquitlam.ca/PSLC, coquitlam.ca/OutdoorPools and coquitlam.ca/Fitness.
