Pacific storm to follow sunshine and warmer weather in Metro Vancouver
Environment Canada says stable, near-seasonal conditions are expected for the Labour Day weekend before cooler, wetter weather arrives later next week.

A low-pressure system off the U.S. coast is expected to linger through Friday, Sept. 4, then move slowly south and out of Metro Vancouver by Saturday, according to Environment Canada meteorologist Terri Lang.
Lang said more stable conditions and near-normal temperatures should follow for the Labour Day long weekend. Temperatures around 20 C are expected through the weekend with a mix of sun and cloud.
The current system is not expected to bring much rain or wind because it is moving south, although isolated thunderstorms remain possible, Lang said.
Later next week, another Pacific low-pressure system is expected to bring cooler and wetter conditions. It is forecast to affect Alaska and northern B.C. before moving toward the Lower Mainland, bringing showers and some wind. Lang said it does not currently appear to be a powerful system, but Environment Canada will monitor it.
