Richmond RCMP reminds public of e-scooter and e-bike safety event
The second of three Richmond RCMP outreach events will be held Aug. 28 at Lansdowne Mall to promote road rules and responsible riding.

Richmond RCMP is reminding residents about the second of three community e-scooter and e-bike safety outreach events. The series is intended to educate riders about road rules, safe riding and the responsible sharing of roads and pathways with other users.
Police said outreach and education remain important as e-scooters and e-bikes become more popular in Richmond.
The event is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 28, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the south exit of Lansdowne Mall. Residents are encouraged to speak with event partners and learn about safe, responsible operation of e-scooters and e-bikes.
Information tents, safety brochures, giveaways and a prize draw will be available. More information about the outreach series is available in Richmond RCMP's initial release, “Richmond RCMP hosting E-scooter and E-Bike safety outreach events in Richmond.”
