Metro Vancouver to warm Monday before rain and cooler weather return
Metro Vancouver could see inland temperatures of 25 C and a humidex near 28 C Monday before a low-pressure system brings showers and cooler conditions.

Metro Vancouver residents can expect one more warm day Monday before rain and cooler weather return later this week, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada.
Inland temperatures are forecast to reach 25 C, with a humidex near 28 C. The UV index is expected to be five, or moderate. Near the water, Vancouver temperatures are expected to range from 19 C to 21 C over the next seven days.
Meteorologist Chloe Katsademas said a southwesterly flow is bringing warmth and moisture into the region, but an approaching low-pressure system will cool conditions. Intermittent precipitation could begin Tuesday night and continue Wednesday morning, with the heaviest rain potentially lasting through much of Wednesday and into Thursday.
The low-pressure system is expected to linger into the latter part of the week. While the long weekend may begin with clearer skies, showers remain possible, and another weather system is forecast to approach from Sunday through Tuesday.
