Forums in Fort Langley, the Township of Langley and Langley City will give voters free, non-partisan opportunities to hear mayoral and council candidates before voting.

Three all-candidates meetings are scheduled ahead of municipal elections in Langley: one for Langley City and two for the Township of Langley.

Residents and businesses have until Sept. 12 to submit questions by email to info@fortlangleycommunity.com. The event will be livestreamed, while in-person seating is limited to 280 people.
A meet-and-greet begins at 5:45 p.m. The councillor candidates session runs from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m., followed by mayoral candidates from 8 to 9 p.m.
The Greater Langley Chamber of Commerce will host a Township of Langley forum on Tuesday, Sept. 29, at the Langley Events Centre banquet hall, 7888 200 St. All registered candidates for Township mayor and council will be invited. The nomination period opens Sept. 1 at 9 a.m., when the list of registered electors will also be available for public inspection. Nominations close Sept. 11 at 4 p.m., followed by the declaration of all municipal and Langley School Board candidates and a draw to set the ballot order for school trustee candidates. Candidate signs may be installed after 4 p.m. under the Sign Bylaw, and the period to object to registered electors also ends then.
Challenges to a candidate nomination or elector organization endorsement close Sept. 15 at 4 p.m. Non-resident property electors must have owned their property for 30 days by Sept. 16 to register for General Voting Day. Decisions on nomination challenges, candidate withdrawals and withdrawals of candidate endorsements are due by 4 p.m. on Sept. 18. The election will be declared at 4 p.m. on Sept. 21.
