Capilano Golf & Country Club ranked sixth in Canada by SCOREGolf
SCOREGolf’s latest Top 100 list places the private West Vancouver course sixth nationally, with four other British Columbia courses also finishing in the top 20.
Capilano Golf & Country Club in West Vancouver has been ranked sixth in SCOREGolf’s latest Top 100 golf courses in Canada. The private 18-hole course at 420 Southborough Dr. opened in 1937 and was designed by Canadian course architect Stanley Thompson; Doug Carrick completed updates in 2016.
In its 14th biennial ranking, SCOREGolf highlighted the course’s setting above Vancouver, where holes wind through fir trees with views toward the city. The publication also praised its downhill opening hole and uphill 18th hole.
Four other British Columbia courses made the top 20: Victoria Golf Club ranked 14th, Sagebrush in Merritt was 15th, Shaughnessy in Vancouver placed 16th and Greywolf in Panorama ranked 17th.
