Hear Surrey council and mayor candidates at two election forums

Surrey council and mayor candidates spoke at two civic election forums in Guildford this week. The events were co-hosted by the Surrey & White Rock Board of Trade and the South Asian Business Association of BC in a ballroom at Sheraton Vancouver Guildford Hotel.

The council forum took place Tuesday, Oct. 6, and the mayoral forum was held Wednesday, Oct. 7. The council event was more crowded, with many of the 66 candidates attending. All seven mayoral candidates attended Wednesday night.

Videos of both forums are available on the board of trade’s YouTube channel: the council candidates’ forum at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bsz3TUvkV3M and the mayoral candidates’ forum at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HV-19mf3C-o. The channel also has videos of all-candidate forums for White Rock council and mayor, held Sept. 21 and 22 at White Rock Community Centre.
