Lower Lonsdale named among Canada’s coolest neighbourhoods
Maclean’s included Lower Lonsdale in its August 2026 roundup of Canadian places to eat, drink and explore.

Lower Lonsdale has been named one of Canada’s “coolest” neighbourhoods in Maclean’s magazine’s August 2026 issue.
The magazine’s feature highlights places to eat, drink and explore across the country. Lower Lonsdale appears alongside areas including Inglewood in Calgary and the Davenport District in Toronto.
North Vancouver Mayor Linda Buchanan said the recognition reflects the neighbourhood’s residents, entrepreneurs and artists, as well as its local businesses, restaurants, cultural activity and waterfront setting. She said the city remains committed to a walkable and welcoming area that supports local businesses and public gathering spaces.
The City of North Vancouver also noted that it was named Canada’s most livable city in The Globe and Mail’s 2024 and 2025 Most Livable Canadian Cities reports. More information about the neighbourhood is available at cnv.org/LowerLonsdale.
