Canucks will light up Diwali logo for Nov. 3 home game
The Canucks’ 10th annual Diwali Night is set for Nov. 3 against the Anaheim Ducks at Rogers Arena, with a new illuminated logo, music, food and themed merchandise.

Artist Arpan Panglia created a Diwali-themed logo for the Vancouver Canucks’ celebration game this year. The colourful, illuminated design features diyas, hand-held sparklers, twinkle lights and rangoli, described as curved flower petals. The Canucks host the Anaheim Ducks at Rogers Arena on Tuesday, Nov. 3.
Panglia said in a Canucks social media post that lighting dazzling sparklers was one of his favourite ways his family celebrated Diwali when he was growing up. With sparklers in hand and cousins beside him, he said, they made memories bright enough to last a lifetime. His design shows sparks and fireworks lighting the evening sky.
The 2026 Diwali merchandise collection includes two different jerseys, in blue and yellow, priced at $750, along with a hoodie, T-shirts, ball caps, a pin, a puck, a lanyard and a scarf. The Canucks’ 10th annual Diwali Night on Nov. 3 will include a ceremonial puck drop with bhangra star Jazzy B, a longtime Canucks fan who lives in Surrey. Club Mumbai DJs will provide music, Chaiiwala of London will offer food and chai samples, and glowing “Happy Diwali” letters will be among the other features.
Diwali is celebrated around the world and is considered the biggest, brightest and most popular event on the Indian calendar. Traditions include lighting diyas, or oil lamps made of clay, terracotta, brass or silver; laying out colourful rangolis with patterned designs; setting off fireworks; exchanging sweets; and celebrating with dance, music and storytelling.
In 2026, Diwali’s main day, “Lakshmi Puja,” falls on Sunday, Nov. 8, in the middle of the five-day celebration.
