Jazz Aviation says flight-attendant negotiations at impasse
The Halifax-based Air Canada Express operator plans to seek a conciliation officer after talks with the union representing more than 1,000 flight attendants stalled.

Jazz Aviation says negotiations with the union representing more than 1,000 of its flight attendants have reached an impasse. The Halifax-based airline, which operates under the Air Canada Express brand, says it will seek a conciliation officer through the collective bargaining process.
The update came a day after the Canadian Flight Attendants Union said 99 per cent of participating members voted in favour of a strike mandate. Union president Marsha Walters has said the union wants members to be fairly compensated for their work.
The flight attendants have been without a contract since Jan. 1. The union did not immediately comment Saturday on the impasse.
