Two people remain in critical condition after fatal Tsawwassen Mills collision
A car struck four pedestrians near Tsawwassen Mills, killing two and leaving two critically injured. Delta Police say there is no information to suggest the collision was intentional.

Two people remain in critical condition after a car struck four pedestrians near Tsawwassen Mills, Delta Police said. Two victims were pronounced dead at the scene, while the other two were airlifted to hospital. Police will not release the deceased victims’ identities while investigators work with the BC Coroners Service and support affected families.
Police reiterated that there is no information to suggest the collision was intentional. Investigators have not confirmed whether a medical emergency experienced by the driver contributed to the crash. They have collected witness statements, reviewed surveillance footage and examined other information related to the incident. The Delta Police Traffic Collision Team is leading the investigation.
Police said the collision was unrelated to a nearby Truth and Reconciliation Walk. The area where it happened had been scheduled to host a House Post unveiling after the walk. Some people were present and preparing for the ceremony, but police said there is no information to suggest a connection between the collision and the event.
“We recognize the profound impact this incident has had on the victims, their families, witnesses, first responders and our entire community,” Staff Sgt. Mike Whiteley, Delta Police media relations officer, said in a statement. He added that investigators were working diligently to determine what happened and thoroughly examine all circumstances surrounding the collision.
Delta Police also recognized the actions of witnesses and B.C. emergency responders, including firefighters and police officers. Investigators are seeking further information. Anyone with cellphone, surveillance or dashcam footage is asked to call 604-946-4444 and refer to file number 26-18401.
