Twenty candidates seek Langley Township council seats
Langley Township voters will choose a mayor, eight councillors and five school trustees on Oct. 17 from a field dominated by two slates.
More than two dozen people have registered to run for mayor, council and school board positions in Langley Township. On Oct. 17, voters will select one mayor, eight councillors and five Township school trustees from two mayoral candidates, 20 council candidates and 15 trustee candidates. Two additional trustees will be elected in Langley City, completing the seven-member Langley Board of Education.
More than half of the candidates belong to the Progress For Langley and Langley Strong slates. It is the second consecutive Township election featuring two slates.
