Yellow air-quality advisory issued for Metro Vancouver
Metro Vancouver has issued a yellow air-quality advisory as heat, local emissions and wildfire smoke create smog containing fine particulate matter. Conditions are expected to improve by the weekend.

Metro Vancouver Regional District has issued a yellow air-quality advisory for the region, citing hot and sunny weather, local emissions and wildfire smoke.
The resulting smog, particularly wildfire smoke, contains fine particulate matter that can pose health risks, the regional district said.
