Man arrested after being found unresponsive in Surrey intersection, police say
Surrey police say officers arrested a man and seized an unloaded gun, ammunition and three knives after finding him unresponsive in a vehicle early Sunday.

A man was arrested after Surrey police found him unresponsive behind the wheel of a vehicle stopped in the middle of an intersection early Sunday, police say.
Officers were called shortly before 1:30 a.m. to 18 Avenue and 138 Street for a report of a person slumped over in a car. Police said they used several vehicles to contain the man’s car after finding him alone inside.
The Surrey Police Service said officers were concerned the driver might need medical attention. As they tried to take him into custody, he regained consciousness and attempted to start the vehicle and drive away, but the police vehicles prevented him from leaving.
Police said an unloaded gun, ammunition and three knives were found in the vehicle. The man remains in custody and has not been charged.
