RCMP are investigating two fires in Vancouver Island’s Cowichan Valley that investigators have deemed suspicious.

A structure fire on Festubert Street in Duncan on Wednesday damaged several vehicles and two residential buildings, police said. Some residents were displaced and emergency social services are assisting them.

Early Thursday, a vehicle fire on Dingwall Street in North Cowichan was quickly contained, but another nearby vehicle was damaged. RCMP did not say whether the two incidents are believed to be connected.

Anyone with information about either fire is asked to contact North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP at 250-746-2104 and quote file number 2026-12351.
