Canpotex announces $500-million investment in Port of Vancouver potash terminal
Canpotex will modernize equipment at Neptune Bulk Terminals in a project expected to finish in 2028 without interrupting shipping.

Canpotex has announced a $500-million investment in a terminal at the Port of Vancouver to support potash shipping. The joint venture, owned by Mosaic Company and Nutrien Ltd., will replace and modernize infrastructure at Neptune Bulk Terminals, including shiploaders and conveyors.
The company expects construction to be completed in 2028, while shipping continues without interruption. Saskatoon-based Canpotex markets and delivers potash produced by Mosaic and Nutrien.
Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe said in a news release that moving more potash to international markets will support economic growth in the province and across Canada. Canpotex CEO Gordon McKenzie said the investment will allow the company to export potash through the Port of Vancouver for decades to come.
