Suspect arrested after Langley shooting seriously injures one
A person was seriously injured in a Monday evening shooting in Langley’s Aldergrove neighbourhood. Police have charged 40-year-old Kyle Jensen with multiple offences and say the incident was isolated.

One person was taken to hospital with serious but stable injuries after a shooting in Langley’s Aldergrove neighbourhood Monday evening, police say.
Langley RCMP said officers were called shortly before 7:30 p.m. for reports of gunfire. After the shooting, a suspect vehicle was seen driving erratically near 256 Street and 24 Avenue, according to a police news release.
Officers, assisted by a police dog unit, stopped the vehicle and arrested a suspect. Sgt. Zynal Sharoom said police could not provide further details about the arrest because the investigation was still evolving.
Police said charges have been approved against Kyle Jensen, 40, including break and enter, robbery with a firearm and motor-vehicle theft. He also faces allegations including possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm, flight from police, dangerous driving, unlawfully causing bodily harm, firearms offences and three counts of pointing a firearm.
Jensen remained in custody Tuesday afternoon pending a bail hearing. Police said they believe the shooting was an isolated incident and there is no continuing risk to public safety, while the motive and circumstances of what they describe as a crime spree remain under investigation.
Langley RCMP are asking anyone with information, dash-cam footage or surveillance video from the area around the time of the shooting to contact police.
