Vancouver police say $5.8 million cocaine seizure in T-shirt order is a record
Employees at a Vancouver business found 328.55 kilograms of cocaine concealed in a T-shirt order, police say—the largest seizure in the force's history.

Vancouver police say employees at a legitimate Vancouver business found 328.55 kilograms of cocaine, estimated to be worth $5.8 million, concealed among boxes of T-shirts in an order. Police said Tuesday it is the largest cocaine seizure in the force's history.
The employees discovered the drugs and called police to the business on July 21. Sgt. Travis Fraser said the business was shocked and has no association with the seized cocaine. He said the quantity of drugs, along with the stamps and packaging, clearly indicates organized crime was behind the shipment.
Police traced the seizure to a shipping container that left Honduras on May 18, stopped in Jamaica on June 6 and arrived in Montreal on July 5. Fraser said police believe the cocaine was meant to be removed before it reached the business, but was not unloaded for an unknown reason.
The investigation continues, with Vancouver police co-operating with authorities in Canada, Honduras, Jamaica and the United States. Police provided no suspect information and asked anyone with information to contact them.
