IIO seeks witnesses and video as Langley police-incident investigation nears completion
B.C.’s police oversight agency is asking for information or video related to a May 22 Langley arrest in which a man suffered a serious but non-life-threatening injury.

B.C.’s police oversight agency is asking anyone with information or video about a May 22 incident in Langley to come forward as its investigation nears completion.
The Independent Investigations Office of BC says police had responded to a reported domestic dispute and arrested a man connected to the call. The man suffered what the IIO initially described as a serious but non-life-threatening injury during the arrest and was taken to hospital.
In an Aug. 11 update, the agency said it had conducted interviews, reviewed available video and completed most of its canvass for witnesses. The IIO investigates incidents in which someone is harmed during a police interaction.
Witnesses or anyone with relevant footage can call the IIO witness line at 1-855-446-8477 or use the contact form at iiobc.ca.
