Kyle-Lefebvre enters race for Coquitlam council
Nonprofit executive Geneviève Kyle-Lefebvre has announced she will seek a Coquitlam council seat in the Oct. 17 municipal election.

Geneviève Kyle-Lefebvre has announced her candidacy for Coquitlam council in the Oct. 17 municipal election.
Kyle-Lefebvre has lived in the Tri-Cities for more than 20 years and in Coquitlam for the past decade. She is a nonprofit executive who says her work has involved residents, community organizations and municipal partners.
She said her experience on community boards and committees, in executive roles and in initiatives aimed at building connections and reducing social isolation has given her opportunities to hear directly from residents about family and neighbourhood concerns.
Kyle-Lefebvre said she would make listening, accessibility, responsible decision-making and collaboration central to her approach if elected. She said effective local government requires work with residents, council colleagues, city staff, organizations, businesses and other governments.
