Richmond opens applications for 2027 community murals
Richmond property owners, businesses and non-profits can apply by Sept. 28 to have publicly visible murals created through the city’s Community Mural Program.

Richmond property owners can apply to have murals painted on their sites through the city’s Community Mural Program.
The program pairs artists with community partners to turn publicly visible walls into artworks reflecting Richmond’s character and neighbourhoods. Stratas, businesses and non-profit organizations are encouraged to apply.
Applications for the 2027 program are due Sept. 28. Eligible sites must be in Richmond, visible to the public and meet the requirements in the 2027 Community Mural Application form.
Successful applicants are expected to be notified in early October, after which city staff will match them with pre-qualified artists. The murals are scheduled for completion in 2027.
Richmond has completed 46 murals since 2018. More information and application details are available through the City of Richmond Public Art Programs webpage, by email at [email protected], or by phone at 604-247-4612.
