Video: Langley RCMP issue back-to-school safety reminders
School-zone speed limits are back in effect in Langley, while police remind students that e-dirt bikes and e-scooters are not permitted on school property.

As students prepare to return to class, Langley RCMP are reminding drivers and students to follow safety rules around local schools. School zones are back in effect, requiring drivers to obey posted speed limits of 30 km/h.
Const. Peter Mann said police want everyone to remain under the posted 30 km/h limit in school zones when children return to school.
Police are also asking students to leave e-dirt bikes and e-scooters at home this school year. Const. Dennis Bell said the vehicles are no longer allowed on Langley school property and directed students with questions to contact their local school.
Students walking to and from school are being reminded to use marked crosswalks when crossing roads near their schools. Langley RCMP thanked the community for helping keep local streets safe and wished students a good school year.
