North Vancouver home destroyed in Upper Lonsdale fire
A home was destroyed early Sunday in North Vancouver’s Upper Lonsdale area. A neighbouring structure was damaged, and officials warned nearby residents about temporarily cloudy water.

A house was destroyed by fire early Sunday in North Vancouver’s Upper Lonsdale neighbourhood, the District of North Vancouver says.
The fire was reported on East Osborne Road near Lonsdale Avenue and Carisbrooke Park. Video from the scene showed an older home fully engulfed during firefighting efforts, while a later photo showed part of the charred structure collapsed near the front entrance.
The district said a neighbouring structure was damaged. It also warned residents that firefighting operations could temporarily make tap water appear cloudy, but said the water remains safe to drink and will clear.
