Four Calgary friends split record $90-million Lotto Max jackpot after first group ticket
Four friends from Calgary are splitting a record $90-million Lotto Max jackpot after matching all numbers in the Oct. 20 draw. Each will receive $22.5 million. They had been friends for five years, but this was their first time buying a lottery ticket together.

Four friends from Calgary, Alta., have won the record $90-million Lotto Max jackpot. Eidelson Elchico, Lovelyn Malvar, Hazeline Ong and Velna Ramirez matched all the numbers in the Oct. 20 draw and will split the prize, receiving $22.5 million each.
The winning numbers were 08, 15, 19, 23, 26, 28 and 34, with 38 as the bonus number. The four have been friends for five years, but this was their first time playing the lottery together. They bought their ticket online and named their group chat “Manifesting Millions.”
Elchico discovered the win while checking his email and quickly alerted the others in the chat. At first, they had a hard time believing they had actually won.
The record jackpot comes six months after Lotto Max raised its maximum prize from $80 million to $90 million. In December 2025, two Ontario residents split an $80.4-million jackpot, which was the largest at the time.
