Advance voter registration open for Port Moody’s 2026 election
Port Moody residents can register in advance through Elections BC until Aug. 18 for the Oct. 17, 2026 general local and school board election.

Port Moody residents can register in advance for the city’s 2026 general local and school board election through Elections BC. The advance-registration deadline is Tuesday, Aug. 18, and election day is Saturday, Oct. 17.
People who miss the deadline can still register at a voting location. The City of Port Moody uses the Provincial Voters List, so residents already listed for Port Moody do not need to register again.
Eligible voters must be at least 18 on the day they register, have lived in British Columbia for the preceding six months, live in Port Moody and not be disqualified by law. Non-resident property electors must register directly with the city and can contact elections@portmoody.ca for information.
Voters will elect one mayor, six councillors and two School District 43 trustees. Those elected will serve from November 2026 to October 2030. Election information, including voting methods and locations, is available at portmoody.ca/vote.
