UNITI walk and roll fundraiser set for South Surrey on Sept. 26
UNITI has raised more than $85,000 toward its $100,000 goal for a Sept. 26 walk and roll fundraiser supporting programs for people with developmental disabilities.

UNITI will hold its annual family-friendly Walk & Roll Fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 26, at the South Surrey Athletic Park track. The event raises money for programs and services that create opportunities for people living with developmental disabilities.
Organizers say more than $85,000 has been raised toward the $100,000 goal and invite people of all abilities to take part. Registration begins at noon, followed by the three-lap walk or roll at 1 p.m. The track is at 14600 20 Ave.
CEO Katie Crocker said the funds support services that remove barriers and help people living with disabilities pursue their goals, share their talents and shape their communities. Donations will be accepted until Oct. 11 at canadahelps.org.
