New Burnaby Housing Authority project to deliver 183 family-sized rental townhomes
A South Slope project at 6203 Marine Drive will include 58 two-bedroom and 125 three-bedroom purpose-built rental townhomes.

The City of Burnaby and Burnaby Housing Authority are helping deliver 183 purpose-built rental townhomes for families at 6203 Marine Drive in Burnaby’s South Slope neighbourhood. The project will include 58 two-bedroom and 125 three-bedroom homes.
Burnaby Housing Authority will own the homes on land leased long-term from the city. The development is near schools, child care, Rosemary Brown Recreation Centre, parks, shopping and other amenities, and is one of the largest new purpose-built rental townhome projects in British Columbia.
Nearly $92 million in combined support is advancing the project, including an $84.5-million repayable low-interest loan through the federal Apartment Construction Loan Program. Other contributions include $3.9 million from the housing authority, city development cost charge credits of $833,000, Metro Vancouver waivers and $511,525 in TransLink credits. Construction began in March 2026 and is expected to finish in September 2028.
