Lotto 6/49 draw produces $1M and $5M winners
A Saskatchewan ticket won $1 million and a ticket sold in Atlantic Canada won $5 million in the Aug. 26 Lotto 6/49 draw; the $18-million Gold Ball prize went unclaimed.

The $18-million Gold Ball prize was not won in the Aug. 26 Lotto 6/49 draw, but two tickets produced new millionaires.
A ticket sold in Saskatchewan matched White Ball numbers 31607529-05 to win $1 million, according to the Western Canada Lottery Corporation. A separate ticket sold in the Atlantic provinces won the $5-million Classic Draw prize with numbers 2, 14, 30, 33, 41 and 45, plus bonus 39.
Three tickets split the Classic Draw second prize after matching five main numbers and the bonus number. The tickets were sold in Quebec, the Atlantic provinces and Alberta, and each prize is $70,942.90. Fifty-three winners will split the third prize, receiving $1,686.20 each.
No ticket in B.C. won the $500,000 Classic Draw Extra Prize, while no Ontario ticket won the $1-million Encore prize. The next Lotto 6/49 draw is scheduled for Aug. 29, with a $20-million Gold Ball prize. Lottery outcomes are based on chance, and gambling carries risk.
