Two B.C. pro-Khalistan activists say police warned of threats to their lives
An Abbotsford activist says the RCMP issued a duty-to-warn notice, while a Surrey activist says he received a similar police warning.

Two B.C. pro-Khalistan activists say police have warned them of threats to their lives as they continue advocating for an independent Sikh state.
Manjinder Singh of Abbotsford, who organizes a monthly rally outside Vancouver's Indian consulate, said the RCMP issued him a duty-to-warn notice last week. Narinder Singh Randhawa said Surrey police warned him over the weekend.
Both men allege the Indian government is behind the threats. New Delhi has denied previous allegations concerning the targeting of Khalistan supporters, including those connected to the 2023 killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
The RCMP would not confirm the individual cases. It said, however, that law-enforcement agencies across Canada have issued duty-to-warn notifications involving members of the South Asian community.
