Man arrested after damaging RCMP cruiser windshield in North Vancouver
North Vancouver RCMP say a man was arrested after he climbed onto a police cruiser and smashed its windshield during a medical call at Lonsdale Quay.

A man was injured and arrested after allegedly climbing onto the hood of an RCMP cruiser and repeatedly striking its windshield at Lonsdale Quay, North Vancouver RCMP say.
Police were called at about 8 p.m. Monday after BC Emergency Health Services requested assistance with a patient who had become aggressive during a medical call. The first officer arrived and the man immediately climbed onto the vehicle, damaging the windshield, police said.
The man was taken to hospital for injuries police say he sustained while attempting to break the glass. The officer was also taken to hospital as a precaution after exposure to shattered-glass debris. The suspect, who was known to police, faces several charges.
