One person seriously injured in Coquitlam stabbing investigation

RCMP are investigating a reported stabbing at a residence in Coquitlam's Burquitlam area Thursday evening.

Police were called shortly after 8 p.m. to a home on Whiting Way near Perth Avenue. BC Emergency Health Services said paramedics provided emergency care at the scene and transported one person to hospital in serious condition.

Police said the suspect and victim are known to one another. The suspect remains in custody.
