Richmond City Grants Program opens applications September 16
Richmond organizations can apply for 2027 City Grants until 5 p.m. on October 14, with updated eligibility, funding limits, grant streams and a new online application system.

Applications for the City of Richmond’s annual City Grants Program open Wednesday, September 16, and will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Wednesday, October 14, 2026. The program funds organizations delivering initiatives intended to enrich community life, strengthen connections and enhance the well-being of Richmond residents.
Grants are available in five categories: health; social and safety; parks, recreation and community events; environmental enhancement; and food security. The 2027 program includes updates to eligibility, funding limits and grant streams, as well as a new online application system designed to make applying more efficient and accessible.
The City is offering general and grant-specific information sessions online and in person. The general session will cover the overall program, allow participants to ask questions about the updated policy and include a live demonstration of the online application system. The City strongly encourages all applicants to register and attend.
Grant-specific sessions will cover the requirements of individual programs, including objectives, eligibility criteria and key considerations for preparing submissions. Applicants are also strongly encouraged to attend the online session for their program of interest. Program guidelines, eligibility criteria, review-process information, session registration and the online application system are available at richmond.ca/CityGrants.
