Surrey council candidate Mike Bose wants to bring ag-tech innovation to farming
The fourth-generation Cloverdale farmer says he would seek ag-tech investment, protect farmland and strengthen local food production if elected to Surrey city council.

Mike Bose is a fourth-generation Cloverdale farmer and a lifelong advocate for Surrey’s agriculture sector and food security. His campaign focus is farming, agriculture and ag-tech. His three priorities are protecting farmland and strengthening local food production, bringing ag-tech innovation to Surrey’s farming sector, and championing agriculture in the city’s economic plan.
Bose says he is the founder of the city’s Agriculture Advisory Committee and considers Surrey’s agricultural land one of its greatest assets. He says he would work to attract ag-tech investment, from precision farming to vertical growing, to strengthen food security and create good local jobs. Pairing farmland with modern technology, he says, would keep Surrey competitive, protect the Agricultural Land Reserve and help the next generation of farmers build a future there, as he did.
Bose says he has spent his life farming the land and would fight to keep agriculture and food security central to Surrey’s future.
