Two charged with conspiracy in fatal 2025 Langley taxi shooting
Police have charged Jared Douglas Polischuk and Luis Manuel Baez with conspiring to murder Taran Pandher, who was shot in a Langley taxi in September 2025.

Two men have been charged with conspiracy to commit murder in the 2025 killing of Taran Pandher, who was shot while riding in a taxi in Langley.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team said Jared Douglas Polischuk, 35, and Luis Manuel Baez, 29, were arrested Aug. 14 and jointly charged. Police said both were arrested without incident at separate locations in the Lower Mainland.
Langley RCMP responded around 10:28 p.m. on Sept. 5, 2025, to a shooting near 200 Street and 53 Avenue in Langley City. Pandher, 24, was found with life-threatening injuries and died at the scene. No one else was injured.
About 30 minutes later, a vehicle fire was reported in the 13250-block of 64A Avenue in Surrey. Investigators believe that vehicle was connected to the shooting, which police have described as targeted and linked to the B.C. gang conflict.
IHIT says it believes other people were involved and the investigation remains ongoing. Police said further evidence presented in court may address the alleged motive and planning.
