CTV News Vancouver wins five RTDNA awards, including enterprise journalism honour
CTV News Vancouver received five RTDNA West Region awards for coverage over the past year, recognizing investigative reporting, editing, video and breaking-news work.

CTV News Vancouver has won five Radio Television Digital News Association West Region awards for its news coverage over the past year, including an enterprise journalism honour.
Veteran anchor and reporter Michele Brunoro received that award for her multi-part series, Hidden in Pain Sight: Human Trafficking and the B.C. Connection. Reporter St. John Alexander earned three awards — for excellence in editing, excellence in video and VJ video — for three separate stories. One followed bird watchers to one of the world’s largest gatherings of bald eagles.
The outlet also received a breaking-news award for its coverage of last fall’s flooding in the Fraser Valley, which was inundated after Washington’s Nooksack River overflowed its banks.
News director Ethan Faber said the honours reflect the range of work the newsroom produces across its platforms, from investigative journalism and emergency information for local communities to engaging stories that help keep audiences connected.
The awards were presented this week for the RTDNA West Region. Winners will compete with recipients from the Prairies, Central and East regions at the 2026 RTDNA National awards gala in November.
