One person died after a shooting outside a restaurant in Langley on Monday night, according to authorities. Langley RCMP say officers first responded at about 9:45 p.m. to reports of shots fired at the Cactus Club near 200 Street and Langley Bypass. First responders found one person in medical distress. Despite life-saving efforts, the person died at the scene, Sgt. Zynal Sharoom said in a statement.
About 15 minutes later, police responded to a vehicle fire near 232 Street and 75 Avenue, which police described as a hallmark of gang-related violence. Police tape remained around the Cactus Club Tuesday morning, and officers were seen placing several yellow evidence markers. CTV News cameras observed a forensic tent and a car whose window appeared to have bullet holes.
