Richmond police ticket truck hauling 12-foot-wide dozer
A truck driver was ticketed after Richmond RCMP stopped a vehicle hauling a 12-foot-wide bulldozer on Garden City Road without an oversize permit.

A commercial truck hauling a bulldozer about 12 feet wide was stopped on Garden City Road on July 22, Richmond RCMP said.
Police said the load spanned two driving lanes and the driver did not have the oversize-vehicle permit required for a vehicle exceeding the 2.6-metre maximum width under the Commercial Transport Act.
The driver was issued violation tickets for failing to carry a permit and for non-conforming load dimensions. The truck was permitted to travel directly to its nearby destination.
RCMP said oversized-load permits establish measures such as approved routes and, where necessary, pilot vehicles to protect road users.
