Two hunters plead guilty to dangerous hunting and are fined in Williams Lake court
Two Cariboo hunters were each fined $2,500 after pleading guilty in Williams Lake to hunting after sunset on private property in October 2022.

Two Cariboo hunters have pleaded guilty to hunting without consideration for the lives, safety or property of others, the B.C. Conservation Officer Service says.
Kristen Johnny and Colin Williams entered a privately owned field while hunting on Oct. 8, 2022. Conservation officers said they accessed the property between 10:44 p.m. and 11:08 p.m., well after legal hunting hours had ended.
Sunset that day was at 6:31 p.m., and provincial regulations prohibit hunting after sunset. While on the property, Johnny and Williams killed a mule deer buck.
The pair recently appeared in Williams Lake provincial court, where each pleaded guilty to the offence. Each was fined $2,500 and ordered to pay a $375 victim surcharge.
