Cultus Lake Waterpark partly reopens after electrical incident
Cultus Lake Waterpark has partially reopened about six weeks after an electrical incident injured 12 children during a field trip, with several attractions still closed.

Cultus Lake Waterpark in B.C.’s Fraser Valley has partially reopened about six weeks after an electrical incident injured 12 children during a field trip.
The park is operating reduced hours from Wednesday to Friday. Pirates Cove, Radical Rapids and all hot tubs remain closed, and tickets are being sold at reduced prices. The Cabana Cove hot tub will remain closed for the rest of the 2026 season.
The June 15 incident left children with shock and burn injuries. Family members said the children were hurt after touching a railing while waiting for the Zero to 60 Raceway.
Technical Safety B.C. said its preliminary investigation found a combination of earlier installation problems and recent electrical failures. It says licensed contractors completed repairs and the reopened area now meets safety requirements following a further inspection.
