Romantasy craft night planned for South Surrey Indigo

Book lovers in South Surrey and White Rock are invited to a Romantasy Crafts Night at the Indigo store in Grandview Corners on Sept. 25.

The evening will include book-cover bedazzling, bookmark making, Romantasy trivia and an optional costume contest, with prizes for trivia and costume winners. Romantasy combines romance and fantasy elements.

Sonia Dhungana, the store’s customer experience leader, said the event is open to everyone, including readers who bring books outside the genre. Guests must bring their own book to decorate, while craft supplies are included in the $20 ticket. Dressing up is optional.

Dhungana said staff have been testing craft materials, developing bookmark designs and preparing trivia. The event comes ahead of new releases in several Romantasy series this fall, including the next instalment of A Court of Thorns and Roses.

Ticket information is available through Grandview Corners Indigo’s social-media accounts and TicketScene page. Craft offerings may differ at participating Indigo locations.
