Richmond’s annual Family Farm Day drew visitors to London Farm in Steveston for family activities, workshops, live music and food. The event is organized by the London Heritage Farm Society.

Guests could buy barbecue food, drinks and farm-made tea, jams and jellies. Children’s activities included face painting, balloon creations, puppet shows and a woodworking station, while the Richmond Delta Youth Orchestra performed.

Community participants included the Richmond Weavers and Spinners Guild, Richmond Photo Club, LEGO Club and Rabbitats. Organizers Shelley Niemek and Nichola Sidhu, along with volunteers, were credited for the event.

London Farm, at 6511 Dyke Rd., operates as a living museum of Richmond agriculture from 1880 to 1930. Visitors can tour the restored farmhouse, tea room, gift shop and six display rooms. The four-acre heritage park also includes 60 garden allotment plots available by application.
