SkyTrain work brings new Langley-area traffic changes
Drivers, cyclists and pedestrians can expect several temporary closures and detours in late August and September as Surrey-Langley SkyTrain construction continues.

Surrey-Langley SkyTrain construction will bring several temporary traffic changes in and around Langley in late August and September.
Northbound access at 68 Avenue and Fraser Highway will be partially closed daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Aug. 24 through Sept. 1. Access to and from Fraser Highway and the northern arm of 188 Street will close from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Aug. 20.
A section of 201A Street south of Industrial Avenue is expected to close from 8 to 11 p.m. on Sept. 15 while heavy equipment crosses the road. At Fraser Highway and 64 Avenue, the north sidewalk will be closed; pedestrians should use the south sidewalk to cross 64 Avenue, while cyclists will share the road with vehicles.
The number of upcoming closures is lower as work on guideway-supporting pillars nears completion. The 16-kilometre extension will include eight stations, two in Langley, and is expected to open in late 2029.
