Surrey city council candidate Clint Stewart wants to expand youth sports
Stewart’s priorities include free access to parks, pools and rinks for children and seniors, a 20-year recreation facilities plan, and expanded youth sports as an alternative to gangs.

Clint Stewart is Surrey First president and president of Whalley Little League. A longtime Surrey United soccer coach, he has deep roots in local sports. His campaign focuses on sports, recreation and community youth programs.
His top three priorities are free access to parks, pools and rinks for children and seniors; a 20-year plan for recreation facilities; and expanding youth sports as an alternative to gangs.
Stewart said that, as Whalley Little League president and a longtime youth coach, he has seen firsthand what sports can do for children. He wants to make it easier for every child in Surrey to participate by improving access to pools, rinks, parks and playing fields, while developing a long-term plan for the facilities the growing city needs. He said keeping children active, connected and supported is an investment in young people, families and a safer Surrey.
Stewart described himself as a lifelong Surrey resident, husband, father and community volunteer. He said he believes in safer communities, opportunities for youth and a better Surrey for families.
