Surrey police seek tenants of landlord charged with break and enter
Surrey Police Service is seeking current or former tenants of Balwinder Singh Bhander, 48, who was charged with break and enter and later arrested. The active investigation concerns allegations that he entered a tenant’s suite without permission and touched the tenant’s clothing inappropriately.

Surrey Police Service (SPS) is asking to hear from past tenants of a local landlord charged with break and enter. The SPS special investigation section is investigating allegations that he entered a tenant’s suite without permission and “had inappropriately touched the tenant’s clothing,” Staff Sgt. Lindsey Houghton said in a news release.
Balwinder Singh Bhander, 48, was charged on Oct. 1 in connection with an investigation launched by the SPS Special Investigation Section in January. Bhandher was arrested on Oct. 14 and released from custody on several conditions. Houghton said the investigation remains active and additional Criminal Code charges are possible.
Investigators are asking anyone who may have rented from Bhandher to contact SPS. This includes tenants of a basement suite in a residence in the 13800-block of 66 Avenue in Surrey, as well as tenants of a previous residence where Bhandher was the landlord.
