PC Health launches AI health chat tool for Canadians
PC Chat offers free, real-time plain-language health information and says conversations are stored in Canada and protected under Canadian privacy laws.

PC Health has launched PC Chat, an AI-powered health chat tool it says provides Canadians with free, real-time health information in plain language. The company says the tool is intended to help people find trusted answers while navigating a complex health-care system.
PC Health says PC Chat was made in Canada for Canadians and is designed to answer questions using Canadian sources. It says health conversations remain in Canada and are kept private and protected in accordance with Canadian privacy laws.
According to PC Health, the tool draws on thousands of sources vetted by Canadian clinicians and remains under the oversight of a team of medical professionals. If a user chooses to share prescription information, responses can take that information into account.
For questions requiring more than a simple answer, PC Chat can help users understand their options and identify an appropriate next step in care, the company says. PC Health says the tool is not meant to replace a doctor, but to help people make health-care decisions with greater confidence.
PC Chat is available through the PC Health and Shoppers Drug Mart websites and apps.
