Amsterdam mystery man is not missing Canadian, police say
Dutch police say a man found collapsed in Amsterdam three years ago is not John Russell Kenny, who disappeared from Vancouver in 1994.

Dutch police say a man found collapsed on an Amsterdam street three years ago is not a Canadian who disappeared from Vancouver in 1994.
Online speculation had identified the man, known as “Lucky,” as John Russell Kenny of Ontario, who would now be about 67. Amsterdam police said an investigation conducted with Canadian police ruled out that possibility.
Lucky had no identification when he suffered a brain hemorrhage or stroke, leaving him unable to communicate, police previously said. Detectives are investigating at least nine possible leads after receiving more than 500 tips.
Police cautioned people not to try to identify the man from photographs alone, citing the potential effect on those involved.
