Man charged after allegedly pulling knife on senior outside Vancouver coffee shop
Vancouver Police say a 36-year-old man allegedly threatened a 76-year-old man with a knife and took his backpack outside a Davie Street coffee shop Wednesday.

A 36-year-old man has been arrested and charged after allegedly pulling a knife on a senior outside a Vancouver coffee shop earlier this week, Vancouver Police said Saturday.
Police were called shortly after 11 a.m. Wednesday to the 1600-block of Davie Street, between Bidwell and Cardero streets, for a report of an aggressive panhandler targeting a 76-year-old man.
The suspect allegedly approached the victim on a coffee shop patio, pulled out a knife, grabbed the man’s backpack and fled on foot, police said. A witness called 911, and officers soon arrived and arrested the suspect.
Joshua Edward Adams is charged with assault with a weapon and theft under $5,000, police said. Online court records show he was released from custody Thursday morning and is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 28.
