Vancouver Police say two masked men fired at an occupied vehicle in a Spanish Banks Beach parking lot Saturday afternoon. No victims had been reported when one suspect was arrested.

Vancouver Police say one person has been arrested after a targeted shooting in a parking lot at Spanish Banks Beach.
Police were alerted just before 5 p.m. Saturday after witnesses reported seeing two masked men shoot at an occupied vehicle in the parking lot at the popular Northwest Marine Drive beach. A major police presence was reported shortly afterward near the border of the Sunset and Fraserview neighbourhoods, where officers cordoned off an SUV with minor damage on Prince Albert Street near 49th Avenue.
In a statement issued Saturday evening, VPD said a suspect connected to the shooting was located and arrested in East Vancouver. No victims had been reported at that time, and the investigation is ongoing.
