What to know before the Snowbirds perform over White Rock
White Rock’s pier closes at 2 p.m. Aug. 12 ahead of a Snowbirds show, with drones banned and water users asked to stay close to shore.

The Canadian Forces Snowbirds are scheduled to perform over White Rock’s waterfront on Wednesday, Aug. 12. The city says the performance begins at 5:30 p.m.; Scott Harrold said the full show is expected to start around 5 p.m. and last about 45 minutes.
The White Rock pier will close at 2 p.m. Personal drones are prohibited, and swimmers, paddleboarders, kayakers and other water users must remain near shore beginning at 3 p.m.
Residents and visitors can watch from locations along the waterfront, including Bayview Park, East Beach and Memorial Park. The city is encouraging people to walk, cycle, take transit or carpool because of expected traffic and parking congestion.
A Canadian Forces CC-295 Kingfisher search-and-rescue aircraft is also expected to fly during the event. More information is available at whiterockcity.ca/snowbirds.
