Man charged with dangerous driving after multi-vehicle collision

Vancouver Police say they responded shortly before 9 a.m. yesterday to several reports of a multi-vehicle collision near East 49th Avenue and Elliot Street. Multiple witnesses reported that a car had struck several vehicles and that its driver then left on foot.

Police said no injuries were reported despite substantial damage to the vehicles. Wayne Tran, 60, was arrested and charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and failing to stop after an accident and give his name and address. He remains in custody pending a bail hearing.
